PRiME Establishes a Trainee Advisory Committee

With the 2020–2021 academic year underway, PRiME convened an inaugural Trainee Advisory Committee with the goal of better integrating trainee perspectives into the development of new initiatives and programming.

Similar to PRiME's Steering Committee, the Trainee Advisory Committee has two representatives from each of the Faculties of Arts & Science, Applied Science & Engineering, Medicine, and Pharmacy. These eight trainee leaders help identify elements in graduate and postdoctoral training that PRiME can address.

The members: Geordi Frere (Prosser lab), Dr. Jiaxi Peng (Wheeler lab), Laura Bahlmann (Shoichet lab), Dr. Marios Mejdani (Mahadevan lab), Dr. Jonathan Labriola (Sidhu lab), Nicole Revie (Cowen lab), Dr. Margot Karlikow (Pardee lab), and Michael Saikali (Cummins lab). The committee advises on programming to address professional needs, encourage networking, and facilitate collaborations across labs and departments.
