TIAP and PRiME Collaborate to Accelerate Next-Generation Precision Medicine Ventures in Toronto

Toronto Innovation Acceleration Partners (TIAP) and PRiME Next-Generation Precision Medicine have announced a strategic partnership to advance research toward commercialization in Toronto. The alliance combines TIAP's commercialization expertise and early-stage funding with PRiME's research capabilities, leveraging mentorship, entrepreneurship training, investment capital, and industry connections to convert ideas into market-ready solutions and new life-sciences companies.
Professor Molly Shoichet, PRiME's Scientific Director, said: "We are excited by this opportunity where we will bring PRiME's research excellence and inventions together with TIAP's translational strength."
Parimal Nathwani, TIAP's President and CEO, emphasized Ontario's potential as a global life-sciences centre, with the partnership aiming to "establish the province as a global life sciences hub." Since its founding in 2008, TIAP has launched over 70 companies, raised more than $1 billion in private investment, and created more than 1,000 jobs.
