Pitch Competition — Building a Biotech Venture 2025

The Building a Biotech Venture program concludes with a pitch competition where six trainee-led teams present their ventures to a panel of expert judges. The winning team receives $25,000 in research funding to propel their technology toward real-world impact. The program runs in partnership with Medicine by Design, the Health Innovation Hub, and Talk Boutique.
The six finalist teams are A2O, BoutIQ Solutions Inc., Chase Biotherapeutics, Linker, PI16 Biosciences, and ZearUp Biomed. Each team delivers a six-minute pitch followed by a five-minute Q&A, with winners announced at 5:00 PM and networking to follow.
Judges include Sarah Farr (Senior Associate, Genesys Capital), Evelyn Pau (Principal, Amplitude Ventures), Mathew Platt (Director of Community, Creative Destruction Lab — Toronto), and Mark Steedman (Senior Business Development Director, Quebec Consortium for Drug Discovery).
