The PRiME Seminars in AI and Drug Discovery series explores how artificial intelligence is transforming drug discovery, featuring researchers and industry experts on topics from molecular design to clinical prediction.
This session features Dr. Andrew T. Sage presenting "Digital Twins of Ex Vivo Human Organs Offer a Novel Approach to Preclinical Drug Discovery." Dr. Sage is an Assistant Scientist at the Toronto General Hospital Research Institute (UHN) and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. He facilitated the world's first drone-delivered human lung for transplant in 2021 and created InsighTx, a machine-learning model for donor-lung assessment, in 2023.
The seminar is open to everyone, with hybrid attendance available on request. Graduate students may register for PHM3100 (0.13 FCE, CR/NCR) to have attendance transcripted.
